Subscription Service Questions:
Q: How do I renew my subscription?
- A: You will need to log in to your subscriber account (if you have questions about how to log in please see "Subscriber Sign-In Questions"). Once you have logged in, click on "Subscriptions | Newsletters & Databases," add the subscription to be to renewed to the cart and purchase it. Our system will automatically match your information and process the order as a renewal.
You can also e-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com and a customer service representative will e-mail you a renewal invoice. Or, call 888-303-2373 to renew over the phone.
Q: How do I find out when my subscription expires?
- A: E-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com for the expiration date. Type "expiration date" in the subject line and in the body of the email, include what publication you are enquiring about, as well as your full name and the address of the subscriber. A customer service representative will e-mail back shortly with the expiration date.
Q: Where can I update or change my address and contact information?
- A: You will need to first log in to your account. Once you are logged in, go to "My Account." To edit the name, e-mail address or phone number, go to "Edit Your Account Information." To change a billing or shipping address, go to "Modify Your Address Book Entries."
Subscriber Login Questions:
Q: I don't know my subscriber number. Where can I find this?
- A: Please e-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com with your full name, what publication you subscribe to and the mailing address the publication is sent to. A customer service representative will e-mail you back with your subscriber number.
Q: I had a new password e-mailed to me when I forgot my old one. How can I change this new one to something more secure?
- A: Once you log in using your e-mail and the temporary password, go to "My Account" (and log in as an existing user to the CPE store) and "Change My Password."
Q: I keep getting the error message "E-mail/Password does not have access ... ," but I know I am a subscriber. How can I log in?
- A: E-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com with your full name, mailing address and the publication you receive, and a customer service representative will e-mail you back a temporary password and the correct login.
Workshop Questions:
Q: When will I receive additional information about the workshop I signed up for?
- A: Approximately three to four days prior to the workshop we will send an e-mail with all the details needed for the day (i.e. lunch options, materials needed, agenda, parking). If in the three to four day timeframe you have not received this e-mail, send an e-mail to cpestore@mcmurry.com and we will immediately send the e-mail.
Q: My company would like to have a workshop onsite. How can we get more information?
- A: E-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com with the workshop you are interested in, the name of the company and how many employees might attend. A full list of our offerings can be found at www.theofficeprofessional.com/onsite.
Q: There are no workshops in my area. How can I request or find out if one will be coming to my city?
- A: Send an e-mail with the workshop name you are interested in and the city/nearby cities where you would be able to attend to cpestore@mcmurry.com.
Q: Can attendees receive discounted hotel rates, or do you have rooms on hold at the hotel where the workshop is being held?
- A: No, we typically don't offer any discounted hotel rates. If you would like to stay at the hotel where the workshop if being held, please contact the hotel for its current rates. We do not hold rooms for attendees, but we include the hotel's contact information on the workshops' page.
Audio Conference/Webinar Questions:
Q: How do I know if I am taking a webinar or an audio conference?
- A: Next to the product name, it will state whether or not it is an audio conference or webinar. If it is a CD from a past audio conference or webinar, click on the product and below it will list if it is a webinar or an audio conference in bold writing.
Q: What will I need the day of the audio conference/webinar?
- A: For an audio conference, only a phone is needed. Simply dial the 800 number from your handheld, your speakerphone, or your conference pad, enter the PIN you'll receive, and you're connected. For a webinar, you will need a phone AND a computer with an internet connection. You will be connecting to an interactive website.
Q: Can a company use the same login if it has two separate locations that its staff members will be calling in from?
- A: No. Per-site registration includes one telephone and one Web connection at one location, and an unlimited number of participants from your organization in one listening room. Any transmission or re-transmission of this event to additional sites/rooms by any means, including, but not limited to, the use of a telephone conference bridge whether or not owned by the registrant, without express, prior written consent is strictly prohibited. To purchase an additional site, please e-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com or call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) and we can set up an additional site for you.
Q: When will I receive dial-in information and instructions for the audio conference/webinar?
- A: You will be e-mailed dial-in information and instructions for the call approximately two to three days prior to the webinar or audio conference. If you have not received an e-mail in this time frame, please contact cpestore@mcmurry.com and we will immediately send it to you.
Q: I never received dial-in information or supplemental materials for my audio conference/webinar in the two to three days prior?
- A: E-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com with your full name and the audio conference/webinar you will be attending and we will immediately send these out to you.
Q: My PIN is not working, how can I log in?
- A: Please call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) to receive assistance logging in to your audio conference or webinar. Or, e-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com with your full name and the audio conference title, and we will immediately get you logged in.
Q: I attended an audio conference/webinar and I would like to purchase the CD from it. Can I still buy the CD at the discounted rate?
- A: Yes, please call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) and a customer service representative can take the order for you at the discounted rate.
Payment Questions:
Q: My company requires a W-9 for all of our vendors. How can I obtain a W-9 or tax ID?
- A: Request a W-9 by e-mailing cpestore@mcmurry.com. Our tax ID number is 86-0540887.
Q: I am a subscriber, but I'm not being charged the subscriber price for the product when I check out?
- A. Log in to the website so it is able to recognize you as a subscriber. If you have questions about how to log in or do not know your subscriber number, please see the FAQs on "Subscriber Sign-In Questions."
Q: How can I be billed/invoiced for a product?
- A: E-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com with the product would like to purchase, your shipping address and full name. Also, please include if you are a subscriber. We will e-mail you an invoice. You can also call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) and a customer service representative can take the order over the phone.
Q: When I was placing my order, I received an error message. How can I check if my order went through?
- A: You will need to log in or, if you are already logged in, go to "My Account." Under "My Orders" click on "View Your Order History." If the order went through, the product will be listed here. If you think it may have processed, but it's not showing up in the account history, please e-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com, or call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) and a customer service representative can check the status of the order.
Q: I keep receiving an error message that says my billing address does not match. How can I place my order?
- A: Our credit card processor is very sensitive to the smallest change in an address. Call us at 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) and we will take your order. Or, print out the payment screen with the product you are buying, fax it directly to us at 602-427-0374, and we will process that order.
Q: Where do I remit check payments to, and who do I make the check out to?
- A: Check payments should be in attention to the publication name and can be sent to:

Order Questions:
Q: When can I expect to receive my order?
- A: Audio conference/webinar CDs will be mailed out two to three weeks after the audio conference occurs. If the order is for a past audio conference/webinar, the CD will be mailed two to three weeks after the order is placed.
Subscriptions –The first issue will be sent within 30 days of the order date. Other Products-(Quick Tip cards, TOPtoolkits) These will ship in two to three weeks.
Q: Can I get expedited shipping for my order?
- A: We do not offer expedited shipping, however if there is a urgent need to receive the product sooner than the allotted shipping above, please note this in the "Order Comments" section when checking out and we will try to accommodate your needs. Miscellaneous Questions:
Q: I am a teacher and would like to have my students receive one of your publications for my class. Can you offer a group discount/student discount?
- A: Please call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) to speak with a customer service representative and they will be happy to help you.
Q: How can I give a subscription as a gift?
- A: Purchase a subscription through the website and use the intended gift recipient's name and shipping information. At checkout, you'll be able to enter your information in the payment section. If you would like to include a message with the subscription for the recipient, please note this in the "Order Comments," section and we will notify the recipient of their gift with your message. You can also call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373), or e-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com if you would to receive an invoice instead.
Q: My speech was featured in Vital Speeches of the Day. How can I order additional copies?
- A: E-mail cpestore@mcmurry.com with your full name, shipping address and the issue date and quantity you would like to order and we can e-mail/fax you an invoice. Or, call 888-303-2373 (or 602-427-0373) and a customer service representative can take your order.
Q: When will all of the Copyediting modules be available?
- A: We are currently planning to offer two new modules each month. However, we cannot guarantee that any particular module, or the entire series, will be available this year, other than the ones already listed. Thank you for your patience.
